The #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship program emerged out of the far-reaching #YouAreWelcomeHere social media wayfarers led by Temple University to welcome and encourage international students to study in the United States. Launched older this year by Temple University and eight other U.S. higher and university partners, the scholarship program provides financial support to incoming international students. “Valparaiso University is strongly single-minded to campuswide diversity and inclusion and proud to be part of the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship program,” said Marci Fradkin, M.A., director of international outreach and admission. “We hope this scholarship will sire students from virtually the world the opportunity to bring their own unique experiences, beliefs, and preliminaries to our close-knit polity of students, faculty, and staff here at Valpo.” Beginning in fall 2019, Valpo will ribbon annual, renewable scholarships tent a minimum of 50 percent of tuition financing in recognition of select, promising international students defended to strengthening the #YouAreWelcome here message.
